Introduction

The Cantonment Board is an Autonomous body under Ministry of Defence established with an aim to cater to the needs of civic administration of the Cantonment. Development of resources vested with Cantonment Boards by Ministry of Defence to usher in Urban development in the Cantonment with the purpose of improving the standard of living and providing welfare to its residents. The functions of Cantonment Board can be broadly categorized as under :-

  2. Regulatory

  3. Urban Development

  4. Quassi Judicial
