| The various activities undertaken
by the sanitary department have been described
below- |

- Cleaning of Roads, street and drains in civil
and army (as per contract agreement) are carried
out form 6 am to 2pm. Skeleton services on every
day are given on receipt of information from the
public.
- Collection and removal of garbage from the
refuse bins are done everyday during working hours.
- Cleaning of group latrines, urinals are done
twice a day on working days.
- Anti-larva sprays are done twice in a week.
- Cleaning of septic tank of latrines in civil
area are attended within 7 days on receipt of
application and on payment of requisite fees.
- Drinking water tanker for marriages and social
ceremonies are provided on due date after receiving
payments of requisite charges.
- Issue of trade license u/s 277 of Cantonments
Act, 2006 is done from 1st April to 30th June
on receipt of the applications.
The Cantonment Board is responsible for cleansing
of streets, public places and drains, collecting and
disposal of garbage, removing of noxious vegetation.
