| Revision of assessment is done every 3 years
by the Cantonment Board as per provision of Cantonments
Act.,1924. as per section 67 of the Cantonment
act, the assessment list so prescribed u/s 66
is made available by inspection by HOR/lessees/occupiers
of any property included in the list. A written
notice for revision of assessment list is sent
to the HOR/lessees/occupiers of the building.
The HOR/lessees/occupier may submit their objection
is the assessment is disputed to the CEO, Cantonment
Board, Barraackpore. Such objections shall be
enquired into and is investigated and the persons
making objections shall be allowed an opportunity
of being heard either in persons or authorized
agents by an Assessment Committee appointed by
the Board. As soon as such objections are disposed
off and revision of valuation of assessment is
competed by the assessment committee members,
the assessment is finalized. A public Notice is
also published to this effect. |
